I’m always on the lookout for something a little bit different, and delicious, and I love supporting small businesses. When I stumbled across Belle Chocolates of Chattanooga, TN, they checked all the boxes.

Belle Chocolates sells single-origin chocolate and confections made from said chocolate. I placed an order and received my chocolate in the mail a few days later.

I went with a variety of their Bon Bons. First up, peppermint meltaway. I was super excited for this one, chocolate peppermint is like my favorite thing ever. The first thing you notice as soon as you open the box is that these things are PRETTY. They’re in little boxes that almost make them feel like jewelry. The colors and the textures play together really well to make them just straight up special to look at.

This one is very heavy on the dark chocolate flavor and kinda light on the peppermint. More of a chocolate with a hint of peppermint than a chocolate peppermint flavor.

Next up, chocolate pumpkin pie. This one totally surprised me. I expected chocolate and a pumpkin pie flavored cream, but what I got was chocolate with a pumpkin pie filling. Like the actual filling from a pie. It was super good! Just like the others, this is a pretty dark chocolate with some bitterness that plays together very well with the sweet filling.

We also got Orange Ganache. Like the peppermint, this is strong on the chocolate flavor and subtle on the orange.

While we liked all of them, these last two were my favorite. The peanut butter ones were cut like little jewels. The peanut butter was rich with just the right amount of sweetness. I could have eaten like 30 of these, I’m honestly glad they came in pretty small portion sizes, that was totally necessary to save me from myself.

Last, and the hands down favorite of both me and Daisy, the coconut bon bons. Dark chocolate and coconut are a match made in heaven. I am super tempted to just order like 10 boxes of these next time I place an order.

These are not the kind of chocolates you eat a bag of while drinking cheap rum. Not that I’ve ever done that or anything. These seem like bespoke, special occasion chocolates that just overall feel very special. They’re rich, the flavors are bold and clearly a lot of thought went into them. I will definitely be ordering again, I just have to talk myself out of eating my body weight in coconut bon bons. Check them out on their website, bellechocolates.com.
