It seriously might be my favorite overall.

First off, if you aren’t following me on Instagram, you totally should, because I’ve been posting there in real time as I try places.

We wanted pizza today, and more importantly didn’t want to cook. I’ve actually tried this place before and I love it, so I figured I would write it up. Little Italy is on Highway 70 between Appling and Memphis-Arlington. They serve a variety of pizza, pasta, and sandwiches. Everything is good, but the pizza is amazing. I placed an order on their website for a medium deluxe and an order of fried ravioli (cheese). Just to get out of the house, Daisy and Ava rode with me.

Little Italy is located in a kinda strip mall/office complex type little place. It’s hard to describe, but all that really matters is it’s easy to see from the street. There’s ample parking, and my order was ready as soon as I walked in the door, about two minutes before the promised time. I actually wish it had taken a little bit longer, I would have had more time to take pictures of the inside.

Anyway, we took the food home and dug in. The fried ravioli was pretty good, but I honestly wish I had gotten the meat version. The cheese was pretty easily overpowered by the (very tasty) marinara sauce. It was still very good, but I feel like the stronger flavor of the meat ravioli would stand up to the sauce better.

Little Italy’s deluxe comes with pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, onion, black olives, and green peppers. I fully agree with this definition of a deluxe. It’s exactly everything I want on a pizza and nothing else. Everything tastes SUPER fresh, you can tell the veggies are cut by hand too, with slight variations in size that say “This was not cut by a machine!”, they also use some very tasty cheese, it has flavor aside from the usual “anonymous fat flavor” that most chain pizza has.

The crust is NY style. It’s thin, but crispy, with a puffy, airy crust.

All of which adds up to some of the best pizza in the greater Memphis area. You guys should definitely give them a shot. You can order online at their website.
